SIGIT Snc was born to produce Textiles for Thermal Insulating and for Gaskets,
and now is specialized to produce Textiles for the Glass Industry.
Our activity is in 3 different Industrial fields, that is production and supply of Textiles for Thermal and Electric Insulation, production and supply of all kind of Gasket, production and supply of Textiles for the Glass Industry.
The first field of our activity (Textiles for Thermal and Electric Insulation) contains the production and supply of Braided Ropes, Sleeves, Lagging Soft Ropes, Tapes, Fabrics, etc. etc., made from thermal-proof yarns for medium, high, and very high temperatures, like Glass, HT Glass, ECOTESS/1000, Ceramic, Silica, Carbon, Graphite, etc. etc. Yarns.
The second field of our activity (Gaskets) contains a part of the previous products, because a lot of textiles are used like Gaskets (e.g. the ropes as gasket in the Furnace’s Doors and the impregnated braided ropes as Gland in the Pumps). This field contains also the very wide sector of Seal Gaskets, for all kind of fluid and application, made by all kind of material (from Impregnated Cellulose Papers to Graphite).
The third field of our activity (Textiles for the Glass Industry) is the more important for us and in this field we are very specialized. We use Para-Aramide yarns (Kevlar from Dupont, Twaron and Technora from Teijin) and other kind of yarns (Zylon from Toyobo, Inox Steel, Preox, Silica, Alumina, etc. etc.) for produce the full range of articles used for Cover the Rolls in the Glass Tempering Furnaces (Braided Ropes, Tapes, Sleeves, Fabrics, Needled Felts, Needled Felt Tubes and Rings etc. etc.).
We can supply also Woven Fabrics and Needled Felts for cover the Moulds for the Flat Glass Bending; we produce Braided and Knitted and Twisted Ropes for cover the Plies of Hot Glass moving.
