FOR COVER THE GLASS TEMPERING KILNS ROLLS

The rolls of the tempering (or drying) glass kilns can cover in three different ways:

- with ropes or tapes winded on the rolls with closed spirals
- with ropes or tapes winded on the rolls with open spirals (for more cooling or for economy)
- with sleeves directly put on the rolls

RAW MATERIALS

Fibres/Yarns: Para-Aramide (Kevlar, Twaron, Technora); PBO (Zylon); PAN (Preox); Glass; HT Glass, Silica; Quartz; Alluminia; Stainless Steel.

YARN TYPOLOGY

BC: continuous filament (with the best mechanical characteristics)

SC: carded spun yarn, with very long fibres (more plasticity)

C: carded spun yarn, with medium lengths fibres (the cheaper)

KV: dref yarn, inside glass core filament, outside Para-Aramide spun fibres

ROPES

The ropes can be three types:

- round, with diameter from mm 1 to mm 20 as in picture 4

- square, with size from mm 2x2 to mm 20x20

- rectangular, with the difference breween the two sides no more than the 30%

The braiding machines used for the square ropes are at three diagonals, as in the picture on the left side.

Our square braided rope is like in this picture :

TAPES

The tape are produced on without shuttle looms, with weaving at one on more linked layers.

SIGIT can do tapes with thicknesses from mm 0,20 to mm 5 (one layer until mm 1,5 , two layer from mm 2 to mm 3, three layers until mm 5)

We can do width from mm 5 to mm 50.

SLEEVES
SIGIT can produce three different kind of Sleeves:
B type: produced with braiding machines (like a round rope without stuffing); the yarns are in diagonal: it is lowly elastic and accepts small diameter differences; we can supply sleeves with Inside Diameters from mm 2 to mm 80; normally we use BC yarn.
M type:produced with knitting machines, like a socks; it is very elastic and accepts big diameter differences; we can produce I.D. from mm 25 to mm 500; normally we use SC yarn or Zylon yarn.
W type:produced on with shuttle weaving looms, like an hollow tape; the yarns (warp and weft) are perpendincular; they are indeformable, with surface very regular and compact; we can produce I.D. from mm 20 ro mm 60; normally use KV yarn.
